EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Sons of Summer proudly presented a special screening of Tenancy, a near-future sci-fi drama that examines the profound tension between time and money. The event centered on mental-health awareness, highlighting how the film’s core question—what is the true cost of the hours we trade away?—reflects the pressures many people face in today’s gig-driven world.

The evening featured an intimate performance by Sameer Gadhia, lead singer of Young the Giant, who debuted an original song that matched the film’s themes. His performance underscored Tenancy’s emotional backbone: the grief of lost moments, the burden of survival, and the universal longing to be present for the people we love.

The screening served not only as a showcase of the film but as a conversation about wellbeing, balance, and the irreplaceable value of our lived time.

It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you. ”
